Fresh Music Friday: Pabst, Jazz Ingram, Client_03

For this week’s Fresh Music Friday, Alec Cobbold, Rory McHugh, and Georgia Condon plumb the depths of knowledge for assertions on a gnarly offering from Pabst, a mumbly vibe from Jazz Ingram, and a pleasurably heinous track from Client_03.

“Hell” – Pabst

Alec:  A driving – and slightly corny – garage rock number. I think it has the potential to be quite catchy, which I’m a little worried about. I also quite like his coat.

Rory: A feisty hook of ‘A one way ticket to hell; along with a boatload of satanic imagery makes this a very thrashable listen.

Georgia: Gives me strong ‘bland protagonist in a 2000s teen movie gets a makeover from the edgy popular girls before the party of the year’ vibes, 10/10, Would mosh in my bedroom to this.

“2AM” – Jazz Ingram

Alec: Melancholic and hazy hip hop with a good dose of nostalgia for walking around the city at 2am

Rory: Moody, alt-hip hop for angsty teens to vibe to.

Georgia: Side chained synth is always a good way to start a sad boy chune, followed by some intricate and interesting drum patterns to keep you listening, truly the only song to vibe out to when you’ve been left on read.

“Am I Reaching You?” – Client_03

Alec: Electr-OH YESS! Heavy-hitting bass, twitchy synth line, spooky vocal sample. Excited to bop to this post-lockdown.

Rory: Gets you into the mood to hack into the Matrix, replete with unholy levels of synths.

Georgia: Yeah of course I got let into Berghain, I go there all the time xx
