
SLAM announces welcome week film festival
The School of Literature, Art and Media has announced a film festival for students during the 2022 Welcome Fest. The free event will be held in the Heydon-Laurence Building in Lecture Theatre 217 and the Old Geology Lecture Theatre. Students will be able to experience cinema from across the globe with everything from Gilliam Armstrong’s 1979 classic My Brilliant Career to Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit.
The festival will feature introductions from some of USYD’s best lecturers like Bruce Isaacs, Ben Nickl, Rubén Pérez-Hildago, Vras Karalis, Ivan Cerecina, Lucas Thompson, Richard Smith, Brangwen Stone, and Susan Potter.
